I’m just waiting for the release of it in the edition I own the others in which seems to be releasing in 2020, after the US editions released in 2019. I highly recommend this series so far & I can’t wait to get my hands on Nyxia Uprising.
Overall, I really enjoyed Nyxia Unleashed and I can thankfully say that I think it got me out of my reading slump, which is what I was hoping for! Some fast paced, SciFi & action is exactly what I needed to break the slump. I also really enjoy the dual perspective of this book! It’s not often but it’s always super interesting when we get a peak at someone else’s POV. This book contains a lot of hardships and bad experiences for the characters but it is amazing seeing them develop because of those experiences. The characters are also very well developed and grow throughout both Nyxia & Nyxia Unleashed. There is obviously more to learn in Nyxia Uprising about both the world & the species but we got a good amount of info in Nyxia Unleased. Also learning about a new species was super fun too. We were learning as the characters were learning, so that made it flow nicely and never felt too much or confusing. It was worked in well and not info dumpy.
Nyxia had some basis for the world building but in book 2 we are actually on a new world & learning a tonne about it.
This one also ends on a cliff hanger which I do enjoy, but am now impatiently waiting to get my hands on Nyxia Uprising. The book is very well written and extremely gripping. It is super unpredictable which is exactly what you want in a SciFi adventure story. I can honestly say that I did not guess a single twist before it happens in this book. This series is just getting better and better with each book! I absolutely love how chaotic these books are.
